West Sand Lake Elementary School held its March building assembly focusing on Teamwork. The Character Education team revealed the One School One Book (OSOB) title for this year with a personalized message from author Kate DiCamillo to WSL!
The whole school will be reading “The One and Only Bob” in their classrooms. This is the sequel to last year’s OSOB, “The One and Only Ivan.” OSOB is a great way to encourage the love of reading and gives students a shared reading experience that WSL can enrich throughout school and at home.
Thank you to the WSL PTA for purchasing the books to be read in the classrooms!
Also at the assembly, each class had fun working together as a team to get a hula hoop around their class circle. It was so much fun to do the activity and talk about the importance of problem-solving as a team, communication, supporting your teammates, and working together toward a common goal!
