Congratulations to Bill Sansone, Alexander Taylor, Michael Ernest, Taylor Hale, Scott Schoemaker, Kevin Beale, Zachery Seyerlein, and Melissa Dahl for being named Averill Park CSD Employees of the Month!
The employees are all part of the Maintenance and Grounds Department. Throughout the course of the school year, they have proactively prepared the district for upcoming inclement weather, and make it so students and staff can attend school in-person on those days, as well. They are on-call during off-hours and help out in emergency situations, such as when the lights went out during a basketball game, or when heating coils broke and pipes burst, rushing to the scene to mitigate the damage to buildings. In addition, the group is involved in completing large-scale projects in-house, saving taxpayers money by not having to hire outside firms. These projects include the weight room, a new special education room, a guidance room, and more.
