After successful water testing at West Sand Lake Elementary School, the Rensselaer County Department of Health has given the District permission to reopen the water system. As a result, water fountains have been reopened and can be used by students and staff.
Water was shut down when lead and copper levels were found to be slightly above the allowed levels and bottled water was provided.
The District will continue to test water systems throughout all buildings and will communicate any changes with the community as they occur.
