  7. Shark Tank Returns to...
Eighth grade students at Algonquin Middle School presented their business ideas to a panel of judges during the 5th Annual Shark Tank Project today!

Students worked on the project for a full day on Monday and presented to judges in the Preliminary and Final Rounds today. Students created an invention and developed a company with a business plan. While sharpening business acumen, students also learned to better work in a collaborative setting and conquered the challenges of presenting in front of peers and adults.

Each Social Studies class produced a Preliminary Round winner. These nine groups were narrowed down to the Top 4. At the end of the day, the Top 4 groups presented to the entire 8th Grade class and a panel of judges from the Averill Park community.
Congratulations to Convenient Colors, Smartz, Spritz, and Armadillo! You represented the 8th grade in the best of ways.
