The World Languages Department, with help from some APHS ELA teachers, held its 14th annual Lip Sync contest on Thursday, February 1.  More than 80 students from French and Spanish 4 and 5 classes performed to a packed house.  World Languages teachers from Algonquin Middle School judged the performances.

Spanish 4, block 3, took home the Honorable Mention award for their rendition of “Mia” by Bad Bunny and Drake.  Spanish 4, block 5, were the winners of our first-ever Introduction award for “Ella Baila Sola” by Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma.  French 4 was given the Best Choreography award for their work on the song “Ego” by Willy William.  French 5 took the Best Lip Syncing prize for the song “Pookie” by Aya Nakamura.  Spanish 5 students won the Best Costumes award for their performance of Shakira’s “Será Será”. The Best Overall Performance honors were for Spanish 4, block 1, for their version of “No se hablo de Bruno” by Lin Manuel Miranda.
