In May, on the same date as the budget vote, community members in the Averill Park Central School District will elect two (2) members to the Board of Education. If you are interested in becoming a Board member, contact the Board Clerk at 518-674-7066 to obtain a nominating petition.
Nominating petitions must include signatures of at least 25 qualified voters of the district. Completed petitions must be received by the Board Clerk by 5 p.m. on Monday, April 22. They should be dropped off at 146 Gettle Road, Averill Park, NY 12018.
Board members serve three-year terms beginning July 1, 2024 and ending June 30, 2027. Members do not receive a salary or other compensation. Individuals must be 18 years old, reside in the District, and be a registered voter.
