The Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School Student Council celebrated its second year this week! The Council was made of 12 fourth and fifth grade elected officers who represented their homerooms and our school community.
The Council met with advisors, Ms Kalage and Mrs Russell, and MHSL Principal Mr. Sibson to share concerns and what they love about the school. Students promoted yearly school spirit days, a community blood drive, Random Acts of Kindness Week, shared positive quotes during Mental Health month, created a Flag Day learning tool, collected recycled crayons for The Crayon Initiative Project, and led our school’s Pledge of Allegiance daily.
We are looking forward to our election for next school year in November!
