By Executive Order from Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, all voting for the annual School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election this year was done by absentee ballot. The deadline for districts to receive ballots by mail is 5:00 p.m. today, June 16.
Beginning at 5:01 p.m. today, the chief election inspector for the Averill Park Central School District will begin to supervise the tally of all absentee ballots.
We are hoping to announce unofficial results of the vote later tonight. There is a chance that the count will not be completed until tomorrow due to the unprecedented situation that we are in the midst of due to COVID-19.
We will announce the results of the vote as soon as they are available.
