WEEKLY EMAILS RETURN EARLY

Each week AMS sends our school community a weekly email. This email serves as one of the most important communications shared with families and covers upcoming events and important announcements and reminders.

This year we’re starting our weekly email a few weeks early to help families prepare for the return to school.

Parents and students should check their email each Wednesday for this important update from AMS.  Thank you!

GRADE 6 VIRTUAL LEARNING FAMILIES: CHROMEBOOK PICK UP

Families of students who are participating in our 100% virtual learning approach will be asked to pick up their Chromebook on Wednesday, 9/2 from 3-6 p.m.

CHROMEBOOK DISTRIBUTION FOR ALL OTHER STUDENTS

Grade 6 Hybrid students will receive their Chromebook on their first in-person learning day here at AMS. New entrants will receive their Chromebook at our New Entrant Orientation. New entrant families should have received an email regarding this event. Returning 7th and 8th graders should already have their school-issued Chromebook from last school year.

FOOD BANK FARM LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS

Every year each grade level of AMS students engages in a day of volunteer work at the Food Bank of Northeastern New York’s Patroon Farm. Unfortunately this year we will not be able to take this great service learning field trip. However, the Food Bank Farm is looking for families to volunteer. Click here to read a recent Times Union article about the Food Bank Farm and consider making a family activity of volunteering on a weekend day at the farm: https://www.timesunion.com/news/article/At-Patroon-Land-Farm-a-Food-Bank-mission-to-reed-15449691.php
