Parents of the Class of 2020 wanted to find a way to give back to the school community as a token of appreciation for embracing and uplifting last year’s Senior Class as they finished their time at Averill Park Central School District.
Those parents donated financially, and through service, to create some additional outdoor seating areas at the high school within the Citizenship Courtyard.
Averill Park High School would like to thank everyone that contributed to this project including, but not limited to, the parents of the Class of 2020, Ms Boulay and the horticulture class, and Mrs. Oldendorf and the Garden Club, the Averill Park Education Foundation, Tremont Lumber and Home Depot.
Coming soon will be the next phase of the renovation project: a “gratitude garden”. Some community volunteers are scheduled to come spruce up the Citizenship Courtyard garden beds in early October.
