Dear Parents,
The New York State Education Department (NYSED) has developed a Parent Dashboard to increase transparency and make information about school performance and other school-level data easier for parents and the public to access.
This information has always been available on the NYSED website, though the new Dashboard makes the data easily accessible and is used to supplement the New York State School Report Card. This also addresses a federal requirement for all state and local agencies receiving Title I funding to provide the public with an annual evaluation on school performance and progress.
On this new dashboard, users can find school information regarding:
- Enrollment
- Average class size
- School climate
- Assessment results
- Financial transparency
- 4-year graduation rate
- College, career, and civic readiness
