Today (Sunday, November 29) the District was notified that a staff member at Poestenkill Elementary School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. The individual has not been on campus since Nov. 23.
Poestenkill Elementary School will open for in-person instruction as scheduled on Monday, Nov. 30. West Sand Lake Elementary School and Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School will also be open for in-person instruction. Algonquin Middle School and Averill Park High School will return to hybrid instruction as planned.
The Rensselaer County Department of Health is conducting contact tracing. Please remember that we must all work together to help stop the spread of COVID-19. It is important that families continue to read and complete the daily health survey each morning prior to attending school.
