On Tuesday, December 8, voters in the Averill Park Central School District voted down both Proposition 1 and Proposition 2 of the Capital Project referendum. Proposition 1 failed 676 yes (45%) to 816 no (55%). Proposition 2 failed 564 yes (38%) to 928 no (62%).
“Thank you to our community members who came out and exercised their right to vote,” Superintendent Dr. James Franchini said.
The Board of Education and administration will review the results of the vote and determine the next steps. More information will be communicated as it becomes available.
