  7. APHS Info Regarding Remote...

Good afternoon APHS Students and Parents/Guardians,

As you know, this district has shared that the HS will remain in remote instructional mode for next week, (Monday, January 25th to Friday, January 29th).

Please keep in mind that Thursday, January 28th is Wellness Day. This is a REMOTE program for all students at the HS. No students will report in person. Keep an eye out for more information on this program early next week.

Friday, January 29th is a Staff Professional Development Day. There is no instruction for students on that day.

We will continue to follow the remote daily bell schedule, as follows: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hXP8tihE3BCb89tBxyHNUTPJ7NVE-PP62LFVVDRjTI0/edit?usp=sharing

Additionally, we will continue to follow the AA/BB Day Rotation, as follows:

A few notes:

  • Our students in CTE, QUESTAR and New Visions Programs will continue to attend these programs in-person. Regular transportation will be provided. If you are a student who needs to stay at the high school during the portion of the day when you are not at one of these programs (because you do not have your own mid-day transportation home), we will be providing an in-person supported study hall at the high school, and will also provide breakfast and lunch for you. For questions on this, please contact Assistant Principal, Mrs. Mein, at meinc@apcsd.org.
  • Our 12:1:1 students (Mrs. Ryan’s class) will continue to attend school every day, and in-person.
  • Our hybrid students who participate in half-day in-house CTE programs will continue to attend those programs in-person on the days that they normally would, just like if we were open in hybrid. This includes Auto 1 and 2, Construction Tech 2, and the Construction Practicum. These students will have access to regular AM and PM transportation, and for the parts of the day when they are not in their CTE program, will be provided with a supported location (HS Cafeteria) in the HS to attend their other classes remotely, on the remote schedule. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided. If you have any further questions on this, please contact Assistant Principal, Mrs. Leach, at leachr@apcsd.org.
  • Additionally, hybrid students who participate in our General Choir and Orchestra programs will attend those programs in-person on the days that they normally would, just like if they were open in hybrid. These students will have access to regular AM and PM transportation, and for the parts of the day when they are not in their CTE program, will be provided with a supported location (HS Cafeteria) in the HS to attend their other classes remotely, on the remote schedule. Breakfast and lunch will also be provided. Our counselors will be contacting each student eligible to do this over the next 24 hours, but if you have any further questions on this, please contact Assistant Principal, Mrs. Leach, at leachr@apcsd.org.

Our offices will be fully open and our staff will remain available during normal operating hours next week.
If you have any questions, please contact the HS Office at 674-7002.

Stay healthy, and be Warrior Strong!
