QUARTER TWO REPORT CARDS AVAILABLE THIS WEEKEND

Second marking period report cards will be available for families to view on Saturday, February 6th. Families can log into SchoolTool and click on the “Grades” tab to review their child’s grades and comments for the marking period. We encourage all middle school students to be a part of this process and ask that parents sit with their child and review their grades together and discuss them at that time. Thank you.

FIRST-EVER AMS VIDEO TALENT SHOW!

Brought to you by the Algonquin Parent Organization
Since we can’t be together for a talent show this year, we wanted to put together a video compilation of all the talent AMS has to offer. Once the videos have been submitted, we will put the videos together and email out the link so everyone can see and enjoy them! While the goal of this is to have fun, be sure that you’re keeping all video entries school appropriate (they will be watched and approved ahead of time). All video entries should be emailed to Haley at ams.parentorg@yahoo.com no later than Monday, February 22, 2021. Please see attached for more information.

ATTENTION GRADE 8 FAMILIES – TECHVALLEY HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION:

Applications for Tech Valley High School are available in the Counseling Center and online at TechValley’s Admissions website: https://www.techvalleyhigh.org/admissions/

All interested families must attend one of Tech Valley’s parent-student information sessions.

Dates of information sessions are available on the TechValley website, as well: https://www.techvalleyhigh.org/admissions/information-sessions/

Each year a decision to participate in the TechValley High School program is made as part of the school’s budget development process. The Averill Park CSD has historically sent two students per year to TechValley High School. Please note that as the budget development process is on-going, so is the district’s decision making process on participation in the TechValley program for the upcoming school year.
