Today (Wednesday, Feb. 10) the District was notified that a student at Algonquin Middle School has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. We have been in contact with the Rensselaer County Department of Health and it has been determined that no school-based contact tracing is needed due to the last time the individual was in the building.
While we understand that you might like additional details, due to privacy laws we cannot release any identifiable information about the individuals or affected students.
