The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution honored winners of the New York State Flag Essay Contest from Algonquin Middle School today. Congratulations to Rebecca, Daniel and Emelia!
Students wrote an essay between 250-500 words on “What the Flag of the United States of America Means to Me.”
All participants received a certificate of participation. Winners will advance to compete on a state level, where they have a chance to earn a monetary award.
