On Tuesday, April 20, the Averill Park Central School District Board of Education approved a revised 2020-21 district calendar to account for unused emergency days. This year, the amount of emergency days used throughout the district were uneven, resulting in a differing number of required student attendance days that remain between building levels. Building principals will be communicating more detailed information if necessary. Changes to the calendar include:
HIGH SCHOOL
• Monday, June 21, will be a Conference Day resulting in no school for HS students only.
• Friday, June 25, is a Regents Rating Day, so students will not attend.
ALGONQUIN MIDDLE SCHOOL
• Tuesday, June 22, and Wednesday, June 23, will be half-days of instruction.
• Wednesday, June 23, is the last day of school for AMS.
ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS
• Thursday, June 24, will be a half-day of instruction and will serve as the last day of school for students in grades K-5.
