On Monday, April 26, all Algonquin Middle School Grade 8 students participated in the first-ever Capital Region “Career Jam.”
The Career Jam is an innovative program that brings together private and public sector employers to connect with students about career pathways. Initially envisioned as an in-person career fair, this program pivoted to a virtual environment to allow for students to participate in a “virtual field trip.”
Organized by the area’s regional BOCES, including our own Questar III BOCES, students explored an interactive online environment that included live presentations, recorded video content and many other resources to support the formation of career pathways.
