Megan DeConno enters her first year at Averill Park CSD as a Speech teacher at the high school.
“I chose to work in schools because of my desire to help children with special needs,” she said.
Miss DeConno attended SUNY New Paltz for her undergraduate program and went to graduate school at the College of Saint Rose.
Prior to coming to APCSD, Miss DeConno spent five years working in the Kingston City School District.
“My favorite thing about working in schools is getting to hang out with students all day,” she said.
Fun Fact! Miss DeConno is a new mom to a four-month old baby girl, Madelyn, and she is an Averill Park High School alum!
