  7. Upcoming Capital Project Referendum...

On Tuesday, October 12, residents of the Averill Park Central School District will vote on a Capital Project referendum which upgrades facilities across the district by addressing critical safety and building deficiencies. The Board of Education unanimously approved putting forth the $28.5 million project, which is a reduction from the $45.5 million project that was voted down by the community in December 2020.

Community presentations have been scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 29 (virtual) and Thursday, Oct. 7 (in-person) at the high school. Both presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. The Zoom webinar link for the Sept. 29 forum can be found here. The presentation will also be recorded and posted online the following day. District residents can submit questions for the virtual forum regarding this project to our Communications Specialist at radewitzb@apcsd.org by the end of the day on Tuesday, Sept. 28.

Learn more about the proposed project in this video or online. A Capital Project newsletter will be mailed to homes prior to the vote, as well.
