Grade 6 students had a fun start to their week on Monday (10/18) as teachers welcomed them to “Camp Half-Blood.”
Students are currently reading The Lightning Thief by Rick Riordan in their Literacy class and are studying Greek mythology in English. Camp Half-Blood is where “half-bloods”, children with a Greek god or goddess as one of their parents, go to learn how to protect themselves from mythological monsters.
Classrooms were decorated with themes of Greek gods and goddesses. Students are now members of a cabin, sponsored by Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, Athena, Hades or any one of the 12 main Olympians!
