REMINDER FROM THE AMS HEALTH OFFICE

Per district and DOH policy, students who experience ANY symptoms associated with Covid-19 infections (sore throat, cough, headache, runny nose/congestion, chills/fever, muscle/body aches, nausea/vomiting/diarrhea, fatigue, shortness of breath or new loss of taste/smell) should stay home until a negative Covid test result or a medical provider’s note allowing them to return to school (listing an alternative diagnosis as the reason for his/her symptoms) is provided to the health office.
Students should remain home until their symptoms are improving and they are able to maintain proper mask wearing and hand hygiene throughout the school day.

FROM THE LIBRARY

Our One School, One Book program has all of AMS reading the book: The Seventh Most Important Thing by Shelley Pearsall. On Monday, December 20th, Mrs. Pearsall will present virtually to AMS. Students will hear details about the book, her personal writing process and they will be able to ask questions as well. One major theme of the book is redemption. It may be worthwhile to have a discussion with your child about this important concept, and what it means to them. Redemption is also the topic of our Warrior Wednesday discussion in Morning Meeting on Wednesday, December 22nd.
