On Thursday, January 6, the Averill Park Central School District was notified that 13 students and two staff members at Averill Park High School, four students and one staff member at Algonquin Middle School, three students and two staff members at Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School, two students at Poestenkill Elementary School, four students and one staff member at West Sand Lake Elementary School, and three staff members in the Transportation Department have tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. School-based contact tracing has been completed and all those affected have been notified.
