SCHOOL PICTURE RETAKES – 1/13/22

Lifetouch will be at AMS on Thursday, January 13. Students who wish to have their picture retaken or missed picture day in November may go down to the new gym at any time. Families can order pictures online using the Picture Day ID: EVTKCMJDB at the website: https://my.lifetouch.com/mylifetouch/#/

GRADE 8 FAMILIES: TECH VALLEY HIGH SCHOOL INFORMATION

Are you interested in hands-on, project-based learning? If so, Tech Valley might be the school for you! Tech Valley is a small school that offers a unique STEM focused high school experience. If you are interested in applying, please reach out to Mrs. Baker for information on how to apply. Students are selected through a lottery system. From the North Greenbush Public Library:

Winter Reading Challenge: Cozy up with a good book this winter and win some prizes while you’re at it! NGPL’s winter reading challenge runs until February 28. Bingo sheets are available for children, teens and adults. Each completed bingo sheet is one raffle ticket. Visit our website to download bingo sheets or pick one up at the circulation desk next time you stop in. Raffle winners will be announced on March 1st.

Take Home Crafts: Winter themed take home craft kits for children will be available starting on Monday, January 10. The kits include a paper roll polar bear and a paper plate arctic fox. The kits will be available at the circulation desk while supplies last.

NGPL Book Club (for Adults): The book choice for our January virtual book club is Dead Wake by Erik Larson. The meeting will be held on Monday, January 24 at 6:30 PM via Zoom. For a copy of the book and the Zoom meeting link, email us at library@northgreenbushlibrary.org

Poestenkill Public Library Survey:
The Strategic Planning Committee of the Poestenkill Library has created a brief community survey. If you live in Poestenkill, they would appreciate your honest feedback. This is an opportunity to share your thoughts not just about the Library, but also about the town in order to help us better meet the needs of the community. If you prefer a paper survey, copies are available in the Library. Survey deadline: January 31.
