STUDENT COUNCIL THEME WEEK – NEXT WEEK

The AMS Student Council is sponsoring a Theme Week (2/14-18). The themes are as follows:

  • Monday – Red, White and Pink Day
  • Tuesday – Winter Sports Day
  • Wednesday – Hat Day
  • Thursday – Anything But Your Backpack Day
  • Friday – Pajama Day

If you haven’t heard of “Anything But Your Backpack Day,” it’s a theme day that has been very popular this year at schools across the country. It encourages students to think creatively about a way to carry their school items in “anything but their backpack.” Parameters below are being put in place and they will be shared with students on the school announcements:

  • Must be able to be use it all day
  • Must be able to put it under your seat during classes
  • Must be school appropriate, safe and not breakable
  • When in doubt, ask your parents, teachers or Mr. Messia if it is allowable
  • Don’t take it personally if you’re asked to just use your bookbag if your item doesn’t work in the school environment

We are looking forward to a fun week in advance of students’ Winter Recess. Thank you.
