The Averill Park girls varsity basketball defeated Section III champion Bishop Ludden 67-43 to clinch the NYSPHSAA Class A Regional championship with a 67-43.
Amelia Wood scored 22 points to lead the Warriors. Taylor Holohan added 11 while Tatiana Tune and Arianna Verardi each chipped in with 10.
AP advances to the state Final Four and takes on Section XI champ West Babylon on Friday, March 18 at 11:45 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online here. The State Championship will be played on Saturday, March 19.
