Ms. Stone, Ms. Favro and Ms. Keenan took 11 APHS students, along with a group of students from AMS, to the Youth Summit “Engaging Minds, Empowering Success, Fostering Connections” at the Albany Capital Center.
Students were provided with an opportunity to hear presentations on Healthy Relationships, Co-Occurring Disorders (The Harris Project), and Youth Gambling. In addition, students could participate in a “boot camp” put on by the Armed Forces! Several students participated in wall sits, push-ups and sit-ups. A very big shout-out should be given to Nick Willams who came in 3rd place with just over a 6-minute wall sit. Ruby Mainville and Matt Murdock should also had impressive participation.
