The HS Environmental Science class visited the Radix Environmental Sustainability Center for a tour of their facility and programs!
The Radix Center is a not-for-profit program located on restored commercial use land near downtown Albany. Its mission is to promote ecological literacy and environmental stewardship through educational programs based around demonstrations of sustainable technologies.
Students viewed and discussed gardens, greenhouses, ponds and water recovery systems, a composting program, microlivestock, an apiary and electric vehicles, among other topics, with the goal of generating actions based on sustainable systems that can positively impact our AP community.
