Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School’s Student Council welcomed Carol Rosbozom, Commissioner for the Rensselaer County Department for the Aging Services to its special lunch meeting on Monday!
Student Council members asked Mrs. Rosbozom many questions about the Meals on Wheels program and the many home-bound seniors in our county they serve. They learned about the great need to make connections, build relationships, and create smiles with each nutritious meal delivered. To the students’ surprise, many of their favorite meals are also the favorites for seniors (hot dogs, mac and cheese, and ice cream)!
The MHSL Student Council would like to thank Mrs Rosbozom for her time. They look forward to working with her in the future as they begin planning a school-wide collection of greeting cards, crafts, and letters for home-bound seniors.
