Averill Park High School’s Odyssey of the Mind team is heading back to the World Finals after securing second place in the New York State competition over the weekend.
The APHS team took second in the Division III: Where’s the Structure category. A team from Averill Park has advanced to Worlds 13 out of the last 16 years.
Two teams from Algonquin Middle School also competed over the weekend and fared well, though they did not qualify for the World Finals, which will be held at Michigan State University from May 24-27.
