Each year, American Legion Post 1021 sponsors students in their Junior year to attend the Boys/Girls State educational programs. At the week-long workshop, participants focus on Americanism and the political process as they conduct campaigns and create a legislature, mirroring our own governmental process. This year, our local American Legion Posts sponsored five Averill Park students.
