Averill Park CSD is sending three Odyssey of the Mind teams to the New York State competition in Syracuse next month!
Overall, four teams competed at the regional event with the High School team and two teams from Algonquin Middle School advancing.
Miller Hill-Sand Lake Elementary School also competed and did a fantastic job. This was the first OotM experience for the entire team.
Odyssey of the Mind is an international educational program that provides creative problem-solving opportunities for students of all ages. The program challenges teams to solve open-ended problems that range from building mechanical devices to presenting clever and unusual interpretations of literary classics. Teams test their creative solutions at competitions held on the local, state, and world levels.
