This afternoon, the APHS Student Activist Group held a Zoom meeting with Teresa from a women’s school in Afghanistan which was featured on a recent episode of 60 Minutes. Students and staff from the school fled to Africa as they were excommunicated for educating women, and yet Teresa continues to recruit and educate Muslim women.
The Student Activist Group, led by Mr. Zehnder, will be creating a fundraiser to support the school, resulting in APHS Principal Mr. Quiles being taped to a wall!
