  7. Algonquin News: Sept. 5,...

We here at AMS are excited for classes to start on Thursday, September 7th!

Today our staff reunited for professional development activities and to make final preparations for the great year ahead!

A letter was mailed on Thursday, August 24th to the primary mailing address for each student indicating their Morning Meeting assignment.  That is the only information students need for the first day of school.  Student schedules will be distributed in Morning Meeting on the first day.

A few reminders for families:

  • School starts at 7:45am each day.
  • Please refer to this image for morning drop off:

  • School ends at 2:25pm.
  • Please refer to this image for afternoon pick up:

Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have questions or concerns throughout the year ahead.  Both Brian Rhode, our assistant principal, and I look forward to a great school year ahead!

Thank you.
Rob Messia, Principal
Algonquin Middle School

BE READY FOR THE FIRST DAY – CHARGE YOUR CHROMEBOOK!

Grades 7 & 8 Students:  Please remember to fully charge your school issued Chromebook and have it ready to go for the first day of school.  Consistently charging your Chromebook each night in a dedicated location is one of your keys to success in middle school (and beyond).  Be ready for the first day, and each day thereafter by having your Chromebook charged up.

Grade 6 Students:  You will receive your new school issued Chromebook on the first day of school.  We will provide you with more information and directions on our school-wide Chromebook expectations on the first day.
