GRADE 8 SERVICE TRIPS

At AMS we value giving back to our community and instilling a sense of civic responsibility in all of our students. One way we foster this is through our annual service trips to the Northeaster New York Regional Food Bank Farm. Coming up next week, Grade 8 students will be assisting the farm with their harvesting work. Team 5 will be visiting the farm on Wednesday, September 27 and Team 6 will visit on Thursday, September 28. Additional information was provided in our permission slip sent home with Grade 8 students. We are excited to return to the farm, where AMS is one of the supporters of volunteer hours, assisting their mission of ensuring food stability for families across the greater Capital Region.

SECOND STEP WEEK CONTINUES

Throughout this week, AMS is putting a spotlight on bullying and harassment with our Second Step Week. Students are participating in discussion-based activities throughout the week in various classes. We encourage you to check in with your child each night this week to find out more about the topics, strategies and skills developed through this week’s focus on developing and maintaining positive peer relationships.
