This morning, the District was notified that lead and copper levels in the water were slightly elevated at West Sand Lake Elementary School. Out of an abundance of caution, water fountains have been shut down and students and staff members will be using bottled water for drinking and food preparation.
The District is working closely with the Rensselaer County Department of Health to remedy the situation as soon as possible. We will continue to keep the community informed about this situation. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
