After 37 years of teaching, Averill Park High School’s Dan Fairchild is retiring.
Among his many fond memories made at the school, Mr. Fairchild noted winning a volleyball Sectional Championship in 2000 as one of his favorites, along with hosting a video conference for his class with Stanley Fish.
What will he miss the most? “Having people who have to listen to me,” he said.
In retirement, Mr. Fairchild will be moving to Rochester, where his daughter and her husband reside.
