The Averill Park girls track team placed second in the Section II, Group 2 meet on May 22 while the boys team finished third.

The girls 4×100 relay team set a new school record, winning the race in 49.53 seconds. The team is comprised of Lydia Munandi, Caryn Zimmerman, Sophia Morone and Lydia Ware.

Anna Jankovic won the Pentahlon with 2439 points. Ware finished second in the 100 (12.73); Morone placed second in the 200 (25.77) and second in the long jump (16-11.25); AP’s 4×400 team finished third (4:10.57) and the 4×800 team placed second (9:49.43); Fiona Carroll took third in the pole vault (10-00); and Megan Glanton placed second in the triple jump (34-10) and second in the shot put (33-5.5).

On the boys side, Michael Beskid won the 400 Hurdles (57.90). Jamie Cocca placed first in the shot put (53-11), won the discus (163-8) and second in the long jump (20-5.75); Martin Bond finished third in the shot put (46-9.5) and third in the discus (135-1); the 4×400 team placed second (3:30.16) and the 4×800 team took third (8:21.09); and Zach Hotaling placed third in the pole vault (13-00).
