Algonquin Middle School Technology teacher, Mr. Hansen, was selected to attend Picademy North America in Toronto, Canada this week.
The two-day professional development event focuses on using Raspberry Pi computers in digital making. After completing the event, Mr. Hansen will become a Raspberry Pi certified educator.
According to raspberrypi.org, the event “supports educators throughout their digital making and computing journey.” Digital making, at its core, encourages young people to create, rather than just use, technology.
