At APHS, all students, faculty and staff were able to take part in a presentation on Vaping, which was created by our Student Assistance Counselor.
This presentation marks the start of a monthly social- emotional learning initiative for the building. All teachers were provided with discussion questions (featured at the end of the video), in order to actively engage the students during Advisory. Leading up to the presentation today, members of SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) provided information on the morning announcements regarding the health risks of vaping.
They also provided posters and resources to teachers to post in their classrooms, with the intention of spreading awareness throughout our school community.
