Join us at the High School Auditorium on Wednesday, November 6 at 6 p.m. for a free showing of the new film “Screenagers: The Next Chapter.” This moving highlights “the science behind teen’s emotional challenges, the interplay of social media, and most importantly, what can be done in our schools and homes to help them build crucial skills to navigate stress, anxiety, and depression in our digital age.” Following the showing, a brief discussion will occur with school principals, counselors, students and families. KIWANIS FOOD DRIVE & EQUINOX THANKSGIVING DINNER
Please consider bringing in a food donation by November 8. Collection boxes will be at the end of each wing. We are asking each grade to bring in different items. The grade with the largest donation of food items will be rewarded! Please see attached for more details.
KIWANIS HOLIDAY AND FOOD DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
School nurses in the Averill Park School District have been contacted by the Kiwanis Club of Sand Lake, NY, Inc. requesting that they forward to the Kiwanis Club the names of families that would like to participate in the Holiday Season Food and Toy Distribution Program. Mrs. Lanoue will forward to the Kiwanis Club only the names of those families who request to participate in this program.
