POSITION AVAILABLE: Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
Poestenkill Elementary
1 hour per week
QUALIFICATIONS:
• NYS Certificate for Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing in a variety of settings
• Knowledge and experience teaching American Sign Language
• Demonstrated knowledge of assistive technology needed to accommodate student with hearing impairments
• Experience with the Federal and State requirements and regulations as they pertain to individuals with hearing impairments
• Team player excellent communication skills
• Ability to work effectively with children, families and staff
SALARY: $40 hour
