  7. Students Participating in A...

Students in the high school have been participating in “A World of Difference Peer Leadership Training” this week!

The program is designed to help students recognize bias and the harm it inflicts on individuals and society; build understanding of the value and benefits of diversity; improve intergroup relations; and confront racism, anti-Semitism and all other forms of bigotry.

ADL training specialists conduct a three-day initial training that is interactive, hands-on and designed to address specific issues that peer leaders face in their schools and communities.

Students are taught to take action against prejudice by leading workshops and discussions with peers, focusing on issues that impact the school. Since students have a powerful impact on one another, the hope is that the climate in a district and community begins to change.
