MID-POINT OF MARKING PERIOD TWO

This week marks the midpoint of the second marking period. Please consider taking a moment this weekend to sit with your child and review their progress thus far in the marking period by logging into SchoolTool.

TRIMESTER 1 GRADES AVAILABLE ON SATURDAY

Grades for Trimester 1 classes (PE, FACS, Music, Art and TEAM) will be available to view on SchoolTool on Saturday, December 14.

CONCERTS – LIVE STREAMED ON YOUTUBE

Mark your calendars! The Grades 7 & 8 Concert will take place this Thursday at 7:00 p.m. The Grade 6 Concert will take place on Tuesday, December 17, also at 7:00 p.m.
This year AMS will once again broadcast our school concerts on our YouTube Live page. Seating at AMS concerts is limited and with a growing number of students involved in our outstanding band, orchestra and chorus programs, we anticipate a full house in our auditorium that seats approximately 480.
We encourage families to share the link to the live stream with family and friends, near and far, who may enjoy watching the concerts live. The concert will be recorded through the live broadcast as well, so those who are working or have other obligations can watch the concert at a later date/time.
Please click on the following link for the AMS YouTube page and look for the “live” icon on the night of the concert.

Those students looking to have their photos retaken must have their picture packet with them. Order forms are available in the Main Office for students who may need one.

HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS / FRIDAY DEC 13 / 7:00-8:30pm

This event is an opportunity for up to 50 students to come to our festive night to make crafts they can use as gifts at the holidays, or take home to decorate for their family. At the event there will be a few different craft choices for the students to make as well as an ornament station. We will also have a Cookie Decorating station. The students decorate cut-out Christmas cookies and enjoy some milk or hot chocolate at our treat station at the event. In addition, we will pull out the school’s tree and other items and the students can decorate the cafeteria for the holidays. We play holiday music, enjoy teaching the crafts and assist as needed. The night is a laid back, feel good time. The room is full of laughter and fun. It is great to see the kids excited about making things, and being with friends in the holiday spirit. The cost is $12. Sign up in the Main Office.
