The APHS environmental science class took a trip to Grafton Lakes State Park today.
The students learned about the geology, ecology, and history of the Rensselaer Plateau with environmental educator, Mary Downey! She then led us on a snowshoe hike over the Graywacke bedrock, into the woods to observe wildlife, and across the frozen Long Pond, which was 13.5 inches thick!
It was a beautiful day!
