West Sand Lake Elementary 1st grade has had a tradition for several years now in which they make kindness shirts with all students. Faculty often wears t-shirts with kindness messages on them and many years ago a student wanted to do the same.
From that one student’s interest in owning a kindness shirt, faculty came up with an idea for students to create and share their own kindness shirts. This activity is so much fun and ties in so easily with classroom connection discussions on the monthly theme of friendship each February.
It was a fun day showing off all of the kindness messages on t-shirts on Feb. 13!
