This morning two guest readers attended PES Pride! Rensselaer County Sheriff Patrick Russo read the book ‘Five Pennies to Spend’. Beyond being his favorite book as a child, the story has a great lesson about being kind and sharing.
The short story ‘One Tough Cookie’ was authored and illustrated by Isabella Sementilli. The book highlights her personal journey to overcome injuries resulting from a childhood prank when she was in 5th grade. Isabella has a simple message “be nice, be kind, share a smile”
