WARRIOR WAY ASSEMBLIES – MONDAY AND TUESDAY

Our next Warrior Way Assemblies are coming up on Monday (Teams 2, 4 and 6) and Tuesday (Teams 1, 3 and 5). As always, students are encouraged to wear blue and gold on their team’s Warrior Way Assembly day. We look forward to another great assembly with students focused on character education and positive decision making.

K-8 HALF DAY – WEDNESDAY, MARCH 18

Students in Grades K-8 will have a half day due to parent conferences. Algonquin students will be dismissed at 10:55 a.m. on Wednesday.

UPCOMING CONCERTS

The Grades 6-12 Choral Concert is coming up on Wednesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m. and will take place at the Averill Park High School Auditorium. The Grades 6-8 Instrumental Concert, scheduled for Tuesday, March 17 will take place at Algonquin, with Grade 6 taking the stage at 6:30 p.m. and Grades 7 & 8 taking the stage at 7:30 p.m. The March 17 Instrumental Concert will be livestreamed, however, the Grades 6-12 Choral Concert will not. Support APO programs by purchasing a raffle ticket(s) to win a day “Bus Trip for 2” from Yankee Trails to NYC or Boston (certificate doesn’t expire until 12/31/2020).

YEARBOOK ORDERS

Orders are being accepted for the 2019-2020 Algonquin Middle School yearbook.
The cost of the basic yearbook is $26.00 with upgrades optional.

Order your child’s copy by going to ybpay.lifetouch.com and enter code # 11617120. The deadline for ordering is March 31, 2020. Extra yearbooks will not be available if you do not order online.

HVCC PROGRAM: GIRLS IN STEM – SATURDAY, APRIL 4, 2020

Girls in the fourth to eighth grades are invited to the 8th annual Girls in STEM, a free educational event featuring hands-on workshops designed to illustrate the fun side of science and technology. Workshop sessions will be facilitated by leaders and educators in STEM professions.

Girls in STEM is sponsored by Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), the Center for Economic Growth and the many dedicated partners hosting this year’s workshops. Questions? E-mail: workforce@hvcc.edu
