DISTRICT GOALS & BUILDING OBJECTIVES
Averill Park High School
Goal #1 Students will graduate college and career
During the first semester of the 2018-2019 school year, GIT will work with APHS stakeholders to assess and identify the measurable skills and attributes necessary for students to be life ready after high school.
Discuss and explore opportunities for creating more college credit-bearing course opportunities for students at APHS, particularly with regards to maximizing the current courses we already offer which may be able to carry credit. These explorations will also include further examining the use of CLEP tests as a manner to place out of lower-level college courses.
Goal #2 Students will productively engage in their school community
Students will be provided with increased opportunities throughout the 2018-2019 school year to engage within the school community. Students will also be provided opportunities throughout the 2018-2019 school year to engage within the broader Averill Park community.
Develop/Implement successful Advisory, increase extracurricular opportunities, restorative practices
Students will be provided opportunities throughout the 2018-2019 school year to engage within the broader Averill Park community.
Goal #3 School staff will ensure student growth through the utilization of data
All Instructional Staff will use at least one CFA (Common Formative Assessment) during the 2018-2019 school year to help maximize student growth
Algonquin Middle School
Goal #1 Students will graduate college and career
Implement differentiated instruction in all classes.
Implement new tiered interventions based on data-driven decision making.
Implement 1:1 Chromebook Initiative at Algonquin.
Goal #2 Students will productively engage in their school community
Utilize the Morning Meeting program as a vehicle for students to productively engage in their school community.

Miller Hill Sand Lake Elementary School
Goal #1 Students will graduate college and career
For the 2018-2019 school year, all faculty will participate/be engaged in the implementation of an enhanced multi-tiered system of supports for all K-5 students as evidenced by increased delivery of Tier 2 and behavioral interventions.
Goal #2 Students will productively engage in their school community
By June, children and their families will feel more connected to their school as evidenced by daily attendance and participation in classroom/school/events.
Goal #3 School staff will ensure student growth through the utilization of data
By June 2019, 100% of Faculty will participate in professional development on collecting and interpreting information about students, evidenced by faculty meeting, weekly meetings, meeting norms, meeting structure, guest presenters, themes throughout, follow-up, follow thru.
Poestenkill Elementary School

Enhance enrichment opportunities for students during WIN.
